about

THE ROSE

Black and white photograph of five young men standing together, dressed in stylish, layered clothing with a mix of casual and fashion-forward outfits, against a tiled wall background.

The Rose is an indie rock band from South Korea, recognized for their distinctive sound and heartfelt lyrics. Since their debut on August 3, 2017, they have touched the hearts of music lovers around the world. After making the courageous choice to leave their former label in pursuit of greater artistic freedom by founding their own independent label (Windfall) they have taken their fans along on an incredible journey of growth and self-discovery over the past eight years.

The Rose has traveled extensively, performing for their devoted fan base, known affectionately as Black Roses. Together they have built a loving community around the world - performing shows from Korea to the United States, South America, and Europe. They’ve performed at a variety of festivals over the years - including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Summer Sonic and BST Hyde Park. Their fan base extends globally beyond the stage, with adoration from Black Roses in places like India, Greece and beyond.

Most recently, they celebrated the successful conclusion of their 2025 tour, Once Upon A WRLD in August 2025. The Once Upon A WRLD tour brought fans into a cozy dreamscape with an intimate set design that featured a bedroom, couch and even a train set. The creative decision to play smaller venues added to the intimate vibe of this special production, inviting fans into the dreamy world of The Rose.

Their latest album WLRD is available on all major streaming platforms and can be purchased from online retailers like Amazon and Target. WRLD is a reflection of their ongoing journey as artists who truly understand their audience.

Moreover, fans have the opportunity to delve deeper into their story through the touching documentary The Rose: Come Back to Medirected by Eugene Yi, which intimately showcases their lives as musicians and individuals. The documentary made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2025 and made its international premiere at the 30th Busan Film Festival in Busan, South Korea in September 2025 - further demonstrating The Rose's profound connection to their audience and their meaningful impact on the global music scene. The documentary made its worldwide release in theaters February 14, 2026 and was certified 100% FRESH on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Rose is currently working on their new album ROSE, that is releasing later this year.

Their new single “Blue Moon” is heading to all streaming platforms April 13, 2026. The band is heading back on tour this summer for their Rosetopia tour to celebrate their 10 years as a band.

Following the conclusion of their tour, the band will be taking a long hiatus to pursue solo endeavors and a long deserved break.
